Today I started on a painting of water, grass, and reflections. The colors in this photograph that I took are amazing and once I played with the contrast in the photo editor it became clear that I had to paint this. I steered clear of the brushes and just used a palette knife to block things in. Palette knife was fun but I want more and that will come from my brushes. Hope to use my extra extra long filberts on this tomorrow. Also, this is a 24 x 36 canvas so it is taking up gobs of paint. yay.
Jodi,glad I found your blog! I have put my pastels aside for a time, but you really make me want to take them out again! Hope to paint with you again soon!
