Day 31

Yesterday I took some quick photographs of the west end of west Columbus. The sunlight was perfect as I darted around between corn fields to catch the last glimpses of the fading sun. After half and hour of photography I repeatedly gave up taking pictures and told myself that the sun had slipped too low in the sky to take good photographs. And time and time again I would turn the camera back on and take just one more. This tree was the last of the day and I think the most impressive. So glad I turned that camera back on.

Day 30

Today was amazing. I woke up thinking "What on earth am I going to paint today?" As soon as I looked out my kitchen window the question was answered. The sky was amazing so I took the opportunity and created a sky study.

90 days

On January 1st I began a 90 days of art journey. During these 90 days I make at least one daily painting. The paintings serve as a record of my progress throughout the journey and to document the beauty of self actualization. I am also studying the text The Artists Way by Julia Cameron as a means of discovering my creative self.
