This painting is from a photograph that I took while on a Boston trip several years ago. Jamal and I spent the New England vacation scouring the coast for interesting tiny towns and freezing beaches. This was one of the beaches that we found that was empty, pristine, and bitter cold (it was February after all). In this painting I tried to convey how the light is playfully splashed across both the rocks and water.
